Warwickshire College's farm is opening its gates to the
public for a weekend and giving them the chance to see newborn
lambs and calves and learn more about farming. Families are invited to to learn more about farming, at the height of the lambing season. They will be able to : · See lambs being born and pet the lambs · See the working dairy, and newborn calves · Explore farm machinery · Watch farm demonstrations · Take part in interactive learning activities to explore where food comes from · Find out more about farming. There will also be talks from members of College staff about the lambing process - from conception of the lamb, right through the birth and into its early stages of life. There will be refreshments available throughout the weekend, and free goodies for the children. |

Coventry CTC cycles through the back lanes of the countryside surrounding Coventry. We cover about 50 miles (70 in summer) returning to Coventry by about 4pm (6pm in summer). We stop at a pub for lunch. Our pace is moderate (about 11 mph on average whilst we are "on the saddle"). From May, shorter, afternoon rides will also be offered every fortnight. | |

EVENT | Art Exhibition - COVENTRY UNIVERSITY FINE ART STUDENTS |

Students at Coventry University will be holding an
exhibition at the Glass Box Gallery. The gallery, opposite
Browns cafe bar on Earl Street, will show work by Abby Scobbie,
Julie Chambers, Vicky Lee and Kathleen Snelson who are all
currently in their second year on the BA Fine Art course. Holding the exhibition as part of their professional practice experience they will be exhibiting work produced over the past six months. The show will comprise of paintings, mixed media pieces and sculpture. Invigilating the exhibition on alternate days the students will be happy to discuss their work or the Fine Art course. |
