| An ideal course for new allotment holders or anyone wanting
to ‘go organic’ on an established allotment. Delivered as a
series of six half-day workshops with two opportunities to
participate in either Spring or Autumn. Run by Sally Cunningham,
a former deputy head gardener at Garden Organic Ryton, this
comprehensive course covers the following topics : planning your
plot, soil management and compost making, seed sowing and
growing, growing unusual crops, organic pest and disease
control, weed control and problem busting. Spring course - Part One of a series of six courses. The dates for the other five parts of this course are : 23 February, 15 March, 5 April, 26 April, 17 May. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
