NUNEATON BOROUGH NEWS
Nuneaton Borough (1) 4
Cambridge City (0) 0
[DR MARTEN'S LEAGUE PREMIER DIVISION]All bets must be off on who wins the championship. Borough are
now a staggering 18 points clear of second placed Gloucester and the title is now a
foregone conclusion.
Nuneaton rediscovered their fluent best and could have won by an even bigger margin.
They applied pressure from the first whistle and were firmly in the driving seat from the
moment Barry Williams fired them in front after ten minutes.
Three goals in ten minutes after the break sent them racing to the three points. Ian
Muir netted a penalty on the hour when Andy Kiwomya was fouled, then Kevin Wilkin raced
through to net in the 67th minute. Three minutes later Shaun Wray delivered the
final blow when he skipped past several players to complete the scoring.
Borough travel to play third placed Bath City next Saturday confident they can maintain
the pressure on the chasing pack.
