Nuneaton Borough face one of their toughest matches of their
high-flying season tomorrow when second placed Bath City are the visitors to the Manor
Park ground.
Bath will have gained a boost from the knowledge that mid-table Salisbury Town beat the
runaway leaders last Saturday and it will be unprecedented if Borough lose two consecutive
matches.
Nuneatons manager Brendan Phillips will be cracking the whip to urge his side
back to the form which took them nineteen points clear at the top of the league. He knows
that a mini slide can quickly snowball into an avalanche of poor results and he cannot
afford to let that happen.
Against Salisbury, Borough had most of the action but the visitors goalkeeper was
in brilliant form and eventually the leaders lost to a solitary sucker punch
goal.
For tomorrows match Borough will have seasoned goalkeeper Richard Williams back
in the side and defender Dickie Gardner could be ready after injury.
