Table topping Nuneaton Boroughs manager Brendan Phillipps
delivered his half-term report today and generally the message was:
"Keep up the good work."
Borough face a tough four matches in eight days over the holiday period and Phillips is
driving on his players to greater glories.
They have a thirteen points cushion at the top of the league but he says:
"Gresley Rovers have games in hand and if they win them they are right on our
heels.
"We also have to play all our main rivals in the second half of the season, some
of them twice, so there is a long way to go yet."
It is at this stage of the season when games come fast furious that players tired
limbs can succumb to injuries. It is the club with the strongest squad which often does
best and Phillips has added to his sided by signing front player Andy Kirkup from Raunds
Town.
"He provides us with important cover in the front positions and in the wide areas
so he is a very useful acquisition ."
said Phillips.
