Nuneaton Borough manager Brendan Phillips realises his biggest
job for the next match is to keep his players focused on the job in hand.
They were on such a high after beating local rivals Atherstone United in the FA Cup in
midweek that the next match was bound to be an anti-climax.
Even more so when the next match is against Dorchester Town who are bottom of the
league.
Phillips said:
"We have to be very wary of this one. Games can be very difficult after an emotive
match like our cup tie against Atherstone. Our fans will be expecting us to win this one
comfortably, and I have to make sure that my players don't go out there expecting victory
to be a formality or we could slip up. We want to keep our good run going."
Borough are likely to be without striker Anton Thomas who has a hamstring injury but
Richie Gardner who played for the reserves against Tamworth to prove his fitness following
a hamstring strain, could be back in the side.
