As many as
twenty local firms were recognised for their high standards in handling and preparing food
when the Mayor of Rugby Councillor Jerry Roodhouse presented this years Food Hygiene
Awards.
The Awards follow inspections by Rugby borough Council Officers and are intended to
reward those businesses who are working to achieve and improve standards for food safety.
The Companies to be honoured are:

St Oswals C of E Primary School, Rugby
Bridget Street Post Office, Rugby
Canal Brisge Stores, Hillmorton
Aldi, Rugby
Rose Narrowboats Limited, Stretton under Fosse
Coventry and East Mercia Co-operative Society (Co-op), Clock Towers, rugby
Tates Lateshopper, Hillmorton
Marks and Spencer, Rugby
Nelson Hind Catering at Herbert Gray College, Rugby
Gardner Merchant at School House, Rugby School
Quadrant Catering Limited at Royal Mail Sorting Office, Rugby
Catering Partnership Limited at Salvesen Food Logistic, Rugby
The mayor also presented over 40 certificates to businesses who have successfully
completed a range of Food Hygiene courses run by the Council.
The Award Ceremony took place at the Benn Hall on Tuesday 1 June.
