The Mayor of Rugby,
Councillor Hazel Bell will be launching "Buy Recycled Week" (9 – 16
November).
The Buy Recycled campaign is designed to make people aware of recycled goods that are
available locally. It is also trying to encourage people to recycle unwanted parts of
products once they have been used.
Local stores including Sainsbury’s are supporting the campaign. Buy Recycled
promotional material has been donated to the Council by the British Glass Recycling
Company. On Friday 13 November there is a chance to win a hamper of recycled goods at
Sainsbury’s.
Councillor martin Eversfield, Chairman of the Environmental Services Committee said,
"I hope that the Buy Recycled campaign will make people fully aware of the
importance of buying recycled goods. Later this year we will be producing a Buy Recycled
Directory giving details of where recycled goods are available locally."
