Christine Oddy will be taking a look at one of the leading industrial companies in her
Coventry and North Warwickshire constituency on today when she visits Agco's Massey
Ferguson plant.
During her guided tour of the factory by Plant Director John Lee, she will see work
underway on the range of tractors which the company exports throughout the world from
Coventry.
And there will be an opportunity for a briefing on the firm's latest developments as
well as a look back at the history of Massey Ferguson, which stretches back for 150 years.
Banner Lane employs around 2,200 people building three ranges of tractors, of which
more than 95 per cent are exported, a statistic which helped gain the company in 1997 its
fourth Queen's Award for export achievement.
Ms Oddy said:
"Massey Ferguson has long been part of Coventry's industrial scene and will
hopefully continue to be an important part of its future so I am looking forward very much
to seeing the changes which have taken place since my last visit."
