MP Christine Oddy will attend the annual meeting of The Chamber next week, which will
cover the first full year since the Coventry and Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce and the
area's Training and Enterprise Council were merged. The annual report also covers the
activities of the city's Business Link.
The meeting on Monday (21 September) at the Muslim Resource Centre in Foleshill, will
give the audience an opportunity to tell the Chamber's directors whether they are keeping
up with the plans outlined when its three year plan was unveiled last autumn.
Key issues which The Chamber is tackling include developing links between employers and
schools, supporting new businesses, training young people and lifetime learning to allow
people to continue to develop skills throughout their working lives.
Ms Oddy, MEP for Coventry and North Warwickshire, said:
"The Chamber must enjoy the support of the local population if it is to succeed so
I am very pleased that business people and other members of the community will have the
opportunity to examine its progress and to put their own views to Board members."
