Oddy's Election SuccessCoventry and North Warwickshire Euro MP Christine Oddy has been
overwhelmingly re-elected as Treasurer of the European Parliamentary Labour Party.
She scored a 40 - 14 victory over her challenger,
Merseyside West MEP Richard Corbett, at the annual meeting of Labour MEPs this week.
Ms Oddy's majority was the largest for any of the positions
which were being contested and she will now start a fifth term as Treasurer making her the
longest-serving holder of that office.
She said:
"I am pleased that my colleagues have shown their
confidence in me in looking after their interests as Treasurer."
