Designing
natural Christmas cards and making Christmas cake for the birds are among some of the
exciting and fun environmental activities for children at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre
during the Christmas holidays.
These activities are the latest in the very popular and successful series of Wildlife
Workshops for children run by Warwickshire Wildlife Trust. Sessions are filling up fast -
so to book one of the remaining places telephone the Education Team now on 01203 308 977.
Sessions run from 21 December until 23 December allowing busy parents a little extra
time for last minute Christmas preparations. There are morning sessions from 10.30am until
12.30pm which are for 4-7 year olds and afternoon sessions from 2pm 4pm which are for 8-1
1 year olds. The cost for each session is £3.50.
In addition to childrens activities, throughout the Christmas period you and your
family can stroll around the special Winter Wonderland Wander and play Nature Bingo as you
follow the trail. This is a self- guided trail which costs just £ 1.00 in addition to the
admission price of £6.00 per family.
Julia Martin Education Officer said,
"All these activities will be great fun and are an excellent way to learn about
nature whilst entering into the Christmas spirit. The Winter Wonderland Wander is also an
excellent way to walk off that Christmas pudding!"
