Appeal To Help Kids Focus On Nature

People with old or unused binoculars are being urged to give them to a Coventry nature centre so youngsters can focus on wildlife at the reserve.

Education staff at Brandon Marsh Nature Centre are on the look-out for binoculars for use with school groups and in workshops during the holidays.

Many of the activities at the site run by Warwickshire Wildlife trust involves bird-watching, and the binoculars are used to give children a close-up view of what can be seen.

Education volunteer Denise Clarks said:

“Donations of equipment such as binoculars is vital to children having an enjoyable and worthwhile learning experience, contributing to the success of the Wildlife Trust’s education programme.

“Many have already made generous donations, for which we are most grateful.”

Anyone with a spare or old pair can give them to staff at the centre in Brandon Lane, Coventry. More information on 024 7630 8977.
