Coventry Petrol
Station Attacked By Robber
The
wave of attacks on shops in an small part of Coventry has
continued, with a man armed with a knife holding up a petrol
station.
The
attack happened at the BP station in Butts in Earlsdon at 6am
yesterday.
A
man armed with an eight-inch knife went into the shop, and
threatened the male cashier, who locked himself in an office.
The
attacker took more than £100 from the till and left through the
fire exit.
He
is white, aged 25 to 30, slim and has a two-inch scar running
horizontally under his left eye.
He
was wearing a dark Parka jacket, jeans and had a black scarf
across the lower part of his face.
Witnesses
should call police on 024 7653 9040.
The
attack follows a raid the day before at Snappy Tomato Pizza in
Spon End, a hold-up at an off-licence in Providence Street, a
street robbery at gun point.
There
have also been two till snatches, at the One-Stop Convenience
Store and the Co-op in Earlsdon Street, and a raid with a knife at
Victoria Wine in Albany Road.
