Man Charged With
Coventry Murder
A
38-year-old Coventry man is to appear before city magistrates
today charged with the murder of Leigh Jones (right), who died
from stab wounds on Monday.
A
25-year-old arrested at the time of the incident in Salford Close,
Stoke, has been released without charge.
A
post-mortem was carried out yesterday into the death of Mr Jones,
who is aged 18 and from the Walsgrave area of Coventry.
The
cause of death was given as sustained blood loss due to a puncture
wound.
DCI
Bob Bird, of Stoney Stanton Road CID, said officers were now
searching for the knife used in the incident.
He
said:
"We
are searching for a knife used in the incident and anybody in
the Stoke area of Coventry who finds such a weapon should
contact CID immediately on 024 7653 9020."
