Coventry Man Killed
in City Collision
A
man has died after losing a week-long battle against injuries he
suffered when he was hit by a car near his Coventry home.
Ivor
Davies, aged 88, was taken to Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital
with broken ribs and cuts to his head following the accident on 10
January at 5.05pm.
He
was hit by a red Mercedes 220 at the junction between Nuffield
Road and Blackberry Lane, in Stoke Heath, where he lived. The
60-year-old driver of the car was uninjured.
Mr
Davies died from his injuries on 21 January and traffic police are
now appealing for witnesses to the accident to contact them on 024
7653 9020.
