Taking place 6-13 March Coventry Women's Festival
celebrates the achievements of women locally, nationally and internationally and aims to
provide opportunities for women to try new activities and gain confidence in their
abilities.
 Councillor Mrs Margaret Lancaster, Chair of the City Council's
Social Justice Policy Team, said:
"We are looking to build on the very successful
women's festivals over the past seven years by involving as many people and communities as
possible. I am sure their are lots of exciting ideas and interesting events which
could be included in this years programme.
It is the involvement of individuals and organisations
across the city which gives a festival its own particular style, and Coventry City
Councils is committed to ensuring the on-going success of this event through equality of
oportunity and a wide and varied programme of events."
