Phil Mitchell
Shooting Suspect Sent To Coventry
Coventry
students will be able to launch their own investigation into the
Eastenders 'Who Shot Phil Mitchell' storyline when one of the main
suspects appears in the city.
Despite
keeping a low profile in the BBC soap, Dan Sullivan, alias actor
Craig Fairbrass, will visit the Ikon Superclub on Wednesday 14
March.
Sullivan's
return to Eastenders coincided with the shooting of Phil Mitchell,
watched by record audiences, and the actor is now at the centre of
the show's biggest cliffhanger.
SkyDome
manager Ian Knight is in no doubt about what the question on
everybody's lips will be.
He
said:
"The
current Eastenders storyline is going to keep everybody in
suspense for around a month so we are hoping that Dan will give
Coventry clubbers a clue as to who is the guilty party.
"He
is certainly the character that everybody loves to hate and he has
to be prime suspect.
"I
am sure that he will be asked whether he was the gunman several
times on the night.
"It
is fantastic that he is visiting Coventry at a time when he will
be one of the most watched TV stars in the country.
"Several
of the Eastenders cast have been to SkyDome since it opened and
apparently the complex is getting quite a reputation on the set as
a place for an enjoyable night out - that is great for the city.
"I
know a lot of venues across the country were hoping to get Craig
Fairbrass to appear during this storyline so we are delighted that
he has chosen Coventry."
Fairbrass,
who starred alongside Sylvester Stallone in the film Cliffhanger,
will host a question and answer session, chat to clubbers, sign
autographs and pose for photos.
Knight
said:
"Our
student nights are already hugely popular but we are expecting
this to be the biggest yet."
