Coventry Bees will have to produce a magnificent performance to stand any chance of winning the Craven Shield play-off final on Saturday after crashing to their heaviest defeat of the season at Ipswich.

Greg Hancock, Andreas Jonsson and Stuart Robson were all left nursing injuries as the side went down 59-31 at Ipswich in the first leg.

All three fell during the meeting but should be fit to ride in the return at Brandon Lane. Guest rider Jason Crump won two heat and Shaun Tacey one while Hancock recorded his worst ever showing in Bees colours.
