VS Rugby go in search of their first double of the season when
they entertain third-placed Bilston Town on Saturday.
Bilston had not lost at home and VS had not recorded a win on their travels when
Socketts men chalked up a 4-2 win their early in the campaign. He would happily
settle for a repeat scoreline.
VS triumphed 2-0 in the League Cup against Hinckley at the weekend, stretching their
successful run to five wins out of six games and only defeat in the last nine outings.
To top that, Sockett has no injury doubts and only midfielder Chris Evans will be
missing through work commitments.
Sockett said:
"Bilston are riding high but we are in really good form at the moment and have to
make sure we keep it going. The win we had against them in October was very welcome at the
time, now we need it for different reasons we want to keep climbing up the
table."
And Sockett spared a thought for his former club Racing Warwick this week after manager
Martin Bewell resigned.
