VS cheered their supporters with a tremendous second half fight
back which almost brought them a deserved point.
They had looked all over losers in the first half when they went two goals down in the
first twelve minutes, but they slowly began to pull the game round and the faithful were
given something to cheer when Darren Beckett slammed home a 25 yards free kick in first
half injury time.
It was the spark they needed and they produced a superb second half performance even
though Stafford increased their score three minutes after the break.
But VS showed tremendous fighting spirit to pull back another goal through Ashley
Warner, he eighth goal of the season, and they had enough chances to have snatched a
point.
Rangers scorers were Tony Eccleston. Richard Mitchell and an own goal.
