VS squeezed to within one goal of the home side but it was too
close to the end of the match to have any significance. In any event Evesham added a third
in late stoppage time.
Kevin Cooper headed Evesham in front on 20 minutes and it was not until the 72nd minute
that they got their second. Lee Harper crossed and the ball fell to Preedy at the far
post. He made no mistake by firing into the roof of the net.
With ten minutes left Darren Beckett pulled one back for VS but they could not find an
equaliser. Preedy got Evesham's third to clinch the points.
