Clevedon took a 10th minute lead but VS gave as good as they got
in the first half only to fold after the interval. This win took Clevedon to the top of
the table.
The first half goal was from the penalty spot by Tony Cook after VS had brought him
down in the penalty area, but Rugby could have been in front before the change round.
Lee Harriman saw his free kick brilliantly saved by the goalkeeper and they were again
denied an equaliser when Matt Owen fired against a post.
It all went wrong for VS in the second half. Paul Milsom and Paul McLoughlin fired
Clevedon further ahead and though Paul John snatched one back for Rugby, Lee Jefferies and
Tony Cook rounded off the scoring.
