VS Rugby
travel south in good heart to take on Newport in the FA Cup on Saturday.
Martin Socketts side are fresh from a 2-0 victory against Bloxwich and the boss
is confident his team have rediscovered their belief in over the past week.
He said:
"Two successive wins have made a massive difference. Ashley Warner, for example,
had one chance in midweek and tucked it away to make it 2-0. In other games he has had
more opportunities but not made them count that is down to confidence.
"Newport have not done too badly this season. They have drawn with Redditch, who
we beat on Saturday, so in theory we could be the better team, but I know it never works
like that in reality.
"We are certainly going there to win, and we believe we can come back with a
victory."
Connor Hance, a former England schoolboy midfielder who has spent time on the books of
Watford and Luton, made his debut in midweek but took a knock on the ankle and could be
doubtful.
Lee Lavery, who scored twice on Saturday, felt his hamstring in the game with Bloxwich
and had to come off, while Phil Murphy (hamstring) and Paul John (thigh strain) are also
doubtful for the trip.
