Racing
Club Warwicks temporary boss Keith Billington has freed five players as he attempts
to salvage the clubs season.
The four players signed by previous boss Martin Sockett from Wisbech have all been
released along with assistant boss Alex Irvine who also joined from the Cambridgeshire
side.
Billingtons side, who lost 3-0 against Clevedon last weekend, travel to
Weston-Super-Mare for a game which kicks off at 1pm to allow for Englands
international with Poland.
He said:
"We will take in the match before returning and I just hope it is a happy journey
for two reasons.
"We are hoping that Rob Burke will be fit to play. He damaged a thumb last week
but it is only tendon trouble so we are hoping he will be okay.
"Weston are down there with us but have won two and drawn one in their last three
games so have hit form and will be harder than perhaps their league position indicates.
"I have been delighted with the response of the players since I took over and I am
just hoping we can get a result."
