Racing Warwick manager Martin Bewell has made a double swoop in
the transfer market to bring some experience to his improving squad.
Bewell has been back to Wisbech again to sign former Grimsby and West Bromwich Albion
midfielder-defender Paul Agnew.
The 34-year-old, who still lives in the Midlands, is the latest in the line of Wisbech
players to join up with Bewell and he will make his debut at home on Saturday
against Wisbech.
Bewell has also brought in midfielder Jason Bindley from Hinckley United and he is also
expected to get a taste of the action on Saturday, providing the game goes ahead.
Warwicks Dr Martens League Cup clash with Sutton Coldfield was called off for the
sixth time this week because of a frozen pitch.
Bewell said:
"We are delighted to have both players on board. Paul comes with a wealth of
experience and has had a good career playing league football. We are very pleased to have
in our ranks.
"We are now unbeaten in the last three games but we know that Wisbech will be very
tough opposition. We lost 4-0 at their place earlier in the season and were three down at
half time. The players know that wasnt good enough and it is up to show how much
they have improved since then."
