Warwick had the unusual experience of waiting for international clearance on a player
before naming their side to face Solihull Borough at the weekend.
Boss Martin Bewell is hoping Chris Hammond will be able to make his return to the club
after a stint in the United States but the club is still waiting for the paperwork to be
completed.
Hammond has decided to go to university in England after time at an American college
and was very keen to join his former club.
Bewell said:
"Wisbech had a problem with international clearance on a player recently and they
were fined heavily so we have taken advice of them and are having to wait but we are
confident Chris will return.
"He is a bright prospect and a useful addition to our midfield."
Warwick are in buoyant mood after taking four points from their last six and the 2-1
win over Paget Rangers has set them up perfectly for the battle with Solihull.
Jason Woodley is still missing through injury while Alex Irvine serves the second of
his two-match ban.
