Racing Club Warwick manager Martin Bewell is hoping to parade a
string of recent signings at Bedworth providing the game goes ahead.
Bedworths clash with Tamworth was called off in midweek and the pitch has had to
take two more days of rain since then.
Striker Lee Stephenson and midfielder Matt Haywood both played in the 1-0 defeat at
Blackenhall last weekend but they will be joined by two other new recruits. Midfielder
Marcus Newell has been recruited by assistant boss Alex Irvine from high-riding Wisbech,
while former Atherstone midfield man Dave Stringer is also on board and should start the
game.
Bewell made the moves into the transfer market after the poor performance at West Super
Mare on Boxing Day. He even offered to quit but was persuaded by the club committee to
stay on board.
"I was just very disappointed and felt that the players werent giving me
their best. When that happens you have to look at yourself closely and I had a chat with
the committee as a result.
"I am glad to say that they made it very plain they wanted me to stop and get on
with the job. I took over under difficult circumstances but I am confident Alex and I can
turn things around."
