Harsh words worked for Racing boss Martin
Bewell before his side took on West Bromwich Albion and he is hoping for more of the same
at Bilston this weekend.
Bewell had not been impressed with his sides performance against Paget Rangers in
the league, a game they lost 2-1, and told them so before they took on the Baggies in the
Birmingham Senior Cup.
They drew 0-0 and have earned themselves a replay at The Hawthorns. He is now hoping
the carrot of playing on a League ground inspires his men.
He said:
"It should certainly be an incentive for the lads. We had the choice of playing
the Senior Cup replay at home but I thought it would be nice to go to The Hawthorns.
"Our thoughts have to be firmly on the league until then. I have keeper Richard
Antiss back from suspension but I will probably go with Andrew Biffin. He came in for some
stick on Saturday but I kept with him and he did well against Albion.
"Bilston have put together a decent run since then and are second in the league so
we will have to be resolute. Our biggest problem at the moment is inconsistency."
