The teams were taken off the pitch by the referee in the second
half because of dense fog, but they returned and Raunds wrapped up the tie with a late,
late goal.
Racing fell behind to a controversial goal in the 32nd minute. Goalkeeper Richard
Anstiss appeared to be jostled as he caught a high ball and Dave Johnson stabbed the ball
in from close range.
Brian Agar might have equalised just before the interval but his header scraped the
wrong side of the post, then with the fog thickening the referee took the teams back to
the changing rooms.
They returned after ten minutes and in the dying seconds of the match Paul York scored
the second goal for Raunds.
