[30 OCT 98] RACING CLUB WARWICK NEWS
Racing Warwick v Wisbech - Preview

Racing Club Warwick start the toughest series of games they will face this season when they travel to play top-three side Wisbech.

Martin Bewell’s men then follow that with a home game against Stourbridge and then travel to face Newport. All three sides are pushing for promotion and Warwick will do well to get anything from the three-match sequence.

And they go into the game on the back of a 3-1 home defeat against Bedworth. Once again Racing took the lead only to allow the opposition back in. They also had Jason Woodley sent off for two bookable offences. He now faces a suspension and is due to go into hospital to have a hernia operation.

Bewell said:

"We had to get Jason checked over by a specialist and he confirmed our suspicions and diagnosed a hernia. We are hoping he can get it done while he is out and then come back.

"These three games will be very, very difficult but we seem to raise our games against the sides nearer the top and we shall have to do that again.

"We should have Rob Sheedy back in action after his injury, but Adam Munday is still out with his ankle problem.

"I have signed Richard Wade from Sutton Coldfield this week and I hope that he will be able to make his debut. He is a solid central midfield player who, although he is still young, has had masses of experience with Atherstone and Nuneaton. He was a key figure in Borough’s really good cup run of a few years ago."
