Warwick have been saved from relegation thanks to a geographical turn of fate.
Hastings have pulled out of the Dr Martens Premier Division because of the travelling,
meaning only one team will go down from the Midlands Division and that will be Bloxwich,
who are stranded at the foot of the table.
The Warwick players were told before their 3-1 home reverse against Moor Green
but have been given a challenge by caretaker manager Keith Billington.
He said:
"It is good news but I told the lads that it is now up to them to prove they are
worthy of a place at the club next season. This has not been a good campaign and I am sure
the new manager, whoever that may be, will want to take a good close look at things."
Warwick have not game this weekend after meeting scheduled opponents Shepshed earlier
in the season when both had a blank weekend. That should give Jason Binley (ankle) and Rob
Burke (thigh) time to recover.
