It goes from bad to worse for VS. They are still seeking their
first win of the season and two goals in three minutes sank them in this match.
For an hour they more than held their own against the East Anglian side and the defence
was a rock solid unit.
But at the other end all Rugby's old failings were apparent. They lacked penetration
and were unable to translate their pressure into goals.
It began to go wrong for VS in the 61st minute when Warren Ward crashed a loose ball
into the roof of the net after VS goalkeeper Mark Ullah had made a brilliant stop from
Peter Munro.
Three minutes later and Rugby found themselves two goals down. Ullah again saved from
Munro, but the referee had been playing the advantage rule following a previous handball.
He pointed to the penalty spot and Lee Stephenson converted.
Shaun Keeble scored Wisbech's third in the 86th minute and Rugby's substitute Lee
Lavery scored their consolation goal two minutes later.
