Racing Club are in FA Cup
action when they travel to Black Country side Lye Town with manager Martin Bewell wanting
to win for two outstanding reasons.
The Warwick boss will want to see his side get over the 4-1 defeat at Stamford as they
play the third away game in a sequence of four.
He said:
"I dont have very good memories of Lye. I went there with Evesham last
season and they beat us 2-1, so revenge will also be on my mind."
Warwick should certainly progress. Lye are in the Bankss Premier Division, a full
two leagues below Socketts men.
Sockett added:
"We have got a couple of injury niggles, but I am hopeful that both will come
through. Striker Tony Agar has been struggling with an Achilles injury while Jason Woodley
is doubtful with a groin problem.
"Our defeat at Stamford was disappointing but we have to be realistic, and when
clubs spend money like they have, then there will be those sort of results. That is not an
excuse and I expect better, but it is a fact of life that some clubs have been able to
strengthen more than we have."
Racings next trip is a tough one Stourbridge away in the league on Tuesday
night.
