Bloxwich v Bedworth United - PreviewMidland
Division side Bedworth United have to replay against Premier Division Tamworth in their Dr
Martens League Cup tie.
The teams drew 1-1 at Bedworth last night and will go into battle again next Tuesday at
Tamworth.
Meanwhile tomorrow Bedworth travel to play Bloxwich, the team they slaughtered 5-1 at
home last weekend.
Manager Billy Hollywood said:
"I dont like the fixtures to fall this way. When you play a team seven days
after a good win you are expected to do the same.
"But the team which has been defeated can be really up for the second game while
your own players can be a bit complacent. I shall be happy to come away from the Bloxwich
visit with three points and never mind the scoreline.
"We did well against Tamworth in a well contested game. They scored first but
Christy McKenzie equalised on the hour and both sides had penalty appeals turned down. In
fairness Tamworth had a stronger case and some referees would have given at least one of
them."
