United's manager Billy Hollywood said he knew nothing about newly
promoted Cinderford, but he quickly realised he had nothing to fear from the division's
newcomers.
The pitch was waterlogged and shrouded in mist but United quickly found their way to
goal. Robbie Beard fired them in front in the 16th minute and ten minutes later Guy
Sanders made it 2-0.
When Beard headed his second two minutes later it was clear that only the weather could
prevent them winning. The fog began to come down in the second half but the referee
allowed play to continue and though Rob Colewell scored for Cinderford, Paul Corden scored
United's fourth.
Bedworth United: Glover, O'Brien, Darlison, Sanders, Leighton, Halford, Stanley, Black,
Corden, Beard, Dale.
