Atherstone United restart their season with a tough contest at
third placed Boston United tomorrow.
The Adders were without a match last weekend which enabled several players
to rest and overcome knocks and bruises, but they will have a lot to do to overcome a side
ten places higher in the league.
Meanwhile moves are well advanced in attempts to improve Uniteds ground at Sheepy
Road. Club directors met representatives of the council this week in an attempt to get
approval of their proposals for the ground.
While the pitch is acknowledged as a good playing surface the facilities are dated and
poor. One player described the changing rooms as an embarrassment.
