Atherstone United are without a match tomorrow, but unlike their
local rivals Nuneaton, they would prefer to play.
"We need the games," says manager Ron Bradbury. "Gary Redgate is now on
the injury list and the remainder of my players are fit. We tried to fix up a game but
were unsuccessful."
Atherstone are away to Rothwell in the league next Saturday, but hope to play Tamworth
in midweek in the Dr Martens Cup.
Meanwhile Bradbury had much praise for Boroughs efforts this season in racing to
their huge points margin at the top of the league.
"They have done superbly well," he says. "I know I often say they are a
big club with a lot of money to spend, but you have to spend it wisely. Their position
shows they have done that. I live in Nuneaton and I was born here. I supported Borough as
a lad and I want them to do well."
