and Republic of
Ireland international Barry Prenderville are now available for sale.
Irishman Boland has been unable to claim a first team place this season while Ducros
has failed to live up to the early promise that saw him earn a place at the FA School of
Excellence at Lilleshall.
Manager Gordon Strachan also said that six first year professionals were being freed as
well but declined to name them.
The moved follows chairman Bryan Richardsons pledge that the squad would be cut
from over 40 to around 25.
Meanwhile Paul Telfer is just one booking away from a trip to FA headquarters. The
dogged Scotsman reached double figures for a foul on Evertons Nick Barmby during the
2-1 FA Cup defeat at Goodison Park on Saturday.
If he transgresses once more he will be banned for the third time this season and have
to explain his conduct.
The clubs two youth teams had a mixed weekend. The under-17s beat Watford 3-0
thanks to goals from Gary McSheffrey, Thomas Cudworth and schoolboy Peter McConnell, but
the under-19s lost 2-1 away from home against the same opposition. Steve McPhee scored the
goal.
There are still around 1,000 tickets left for this Saturdays game against
Manchester United. Tickets are only on sale as part of a two match package along with the
game against Wimbledon in May.
