Palmer In Cells On Suspicion Of Drink Driving
Sky
Blues midfielder Carlton Palmer spent a night in the cells after
being arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
He
was arrested at his home in Whirlow on the Derbyshire / South
Yorkshire on Sunday night following an incident involving a
Range Rover and two taxis.
He
was taken to Massow police station, where he allegedly failed a
second breath test.
He
was interviewed yesterday morning and has been released on
police bail until 31 January 2001.
Palmer
recently put in a transfer request, saying he wanted to leave
Coventry City because of the travelling between Highfield Road
and his home.
If
he is convicted of any drink driving offence he faces a
mandatory 12-month ban from driving.
