The Sky Blue rumour mill
is moving north, with reports that the next transfer target
could be Norwegian striker Thorstein Helstad.
The
23-year-old attacker, who can also play on the left wing, has
been watched by the Sky Blues on several occasions.
In the 1999 season he
scored 18 goals for his club, but has not played in a full
international.
Rumours are developing
that Helstad, who plays for Brann, is being lined up as a
replacement for Robbie Keane.
His agent Rune Hauge
said that there had been interest, but there has yet to be an
official approach.
He said:
"It's
true that they are interested in Helstad, but we don't expect
anything to happen in the near future.”
