The Sky Blues have lined up
more pre-season friendlies as part of their preparation for the new
Premiership campaign –but will spend much of their time on the road.
They will be playing a series
of games from 21 July, culminating in a match against Ajax at
Highfield Road on 12 August.
So far only one home game has
been fixed, up possibly to get the players out of the dreadful away
form that dogged them last season.
Hitchin Town will provide
Coventry with their first challenge, and this will be followed with a
contest at Fairford Town on July 24.
Games have then been arranged
at Wolves on 26 July at 7.45pm and Portsmouth on 29 July at 3pm.
The test then takes on a
foreign flavour, with games against KK Gent on 5 August and Sparta
Rotterdam on 8 August.
Another game could be arranged
for 10 August, but no opponent has yet been announced.
The
fixtures end with a match against Ajax at Highfield Road on 12 August
at 3pm.
