McAllister Signs For Liverpool

Blues captain Gary McAllister has signed for Liverpool on a free
transfer.
After
much speculation in the press, it was confirmed today that the
35-year-old midfielder would make the move to Anfield.
McAllister,
who picked up the fans’ and players’ title of Coventry Player of
the Year, has been courted by Gerard Houllier for weeks.
The
Liverpool supremo said he needed some more experience in his squad
after qualifying for the UEFA cup.
McAllister,
who was offered a lucrative one year, was signed to add some
experience to the side.
The
35-year-old recently expressed his disappointment at the length of
time it took Coventry City bosses to offer him a new contract.
