Gordon Strachan has denied that Moustapha Hadji could be joining
French club Marseille, who are keen to sign him before the end of the
transfer window in their season.
The club were interested in the Moroccan when City clinched his
signature in the summer.
Strachan:
"I have spoken to Mous. He is happy here – he loves the
club, he loves the country and he loves the way we play out
football. He is not going anywhere.
"Marseille have expressed an interest in him before but he
chose us over them on that occasion."
The player City signed for £4 million from Deportivo de la Coruña
in the summer has taken longer to settle into the English game than
his compatriot Youssef Chippo, but is now beginning to show glimpses
of his ability.
His 20-yard curling shot past David Seaman in the Sky Blues 3-2
Boxing Day victory over Arsenal was his fourth goal in the last six
matches at Highfield Road.
Hadji is yet to play in his preferred role for Coventry, which is
operating as a free man behind the front two, a position he is
expected to slot into when the club reduce their huge injury list.
