Coventry City
keeper Magnus Hedman has his sights firmly fixed on denting Englands Euro 2000
hopes.
Hedman is due to line-up against Kevin Keegans men at Wembley on June 5, and
knows that victory would go a long way to ensuring his first appearance at a major
championship.
He and the Swedish squad, which will also include the recently departed Roland Nilsson,
are due to play Jamaica in a warm up game at the end of this month before the Wembley
date.
He said:
"It is a massive game for us and I am really looking forward to it. As soon as the
Leeds game was over that was what my thoughts turned to.
"I am really looking forward to playing at Wembley and we are confident that we
can do well against England.
"I keep training right through until the England game and then I get a few weeks
off before we come back for pre-season training but that will be well worth it if we get
the results we want."
The home game against Jamaica will see Hedman up against City team mate Paul Hall. The
winger, who has failed to make an impression in the year since his move from Portsmouth,
will use the game to try to interest managers after being put on the City transfer list.
