Coventry City
were today desperately trying to contact their Bosnian centre-half Mo Konjic.
The former Monaco player is with his national squad in Sarajevo after they were
prevented from flying to meet Scotland on Saturday by the troubles in nearby Yugoslavia.
But City need to know if Konjic will be able to return in time for the vital game at
Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
Club secretary Graham Hover had no luck contacting Konjic this morning and that has
left Gordon Strachan wondering what team he can field.
He said:
"I have no idea what is happening. We have tried to reach him but have had no
luck.
"I have never been in a similar position but I expect it will be mentally tiring
for him."
Meanwhile Paul Telfer could miss the Hillsborough date. The midfielder is to appear
before the FA on Thursday after collecting 11 bookings and is expected to serve an
immediate one-match ban.
