The Warwickshire Social Services home, in Drayton Avenue, Stratford, is inviting local
people to drop in between 6pm and 8pm, chat to staff about the work they do and have a
look around the home.
"The aim of the evening is to highlight our work and raise awareness of career
opportunities at Lower Meadow. The open evening is aimed at local people who are
interested in working with older people, who feel that they have something to offer, or
who are looking to start or re-start work.
"In our experience there are a lot of naturally caring people living locally who
dont even think of themselves as carers. These are people who are bringing up or
have brought up families, cared for relatives or are kind and supportive to friends and
neighbours.
"As many of our residents are local people it is nice for them to have staff who
are local or who know the area well."
