NOV 98] STRATFORD ON AVON DISTRICT COUNCIL PRESS RELEASE
Tree Planting At Dene Brook, KinetonAs part
of National Tree Week the Chairman of Stratford District Council, Councillor Ann Simpson
and children from Kineton Primary School will be planting 500 trees at Dene Brook,
Kineton.
Councillor Ann Simpson will be planting a tree on Monday 23
November 1998 at 11am. It will take place below the Castle Hills in Dene Valley.
Stratford District Council in partnership with the parish
council and the Environment Agency are developing this scheme by planting trees as well as
improving public access and enhancing the area for the benefit of wildlife.
This year's theme for National Tree Week, 25 November to 6
December, is 'favourite trees' and people and groups are invited to sponsor a favourite
tree to be planted on any council owned land. For more information please contact Ralph

Stratford District Council have also organised a schools
art competition for National Tree Week and judging for this will take place at 11am on
Monday 30 November at Stratford District Council offices.
