New Passport To Convert Rugby Tourists
By ANTONY HOPKER
Tourists
coming to Rugby are to be offered a passport to a cheaper visit with a
ticket giving cut-price admissions to three major rugby football
attractions.
The
Visitor Passport offers savings of up to £3 on individual entry
tickets, and includes a town trail booklet called Pathway To Fame,
which guides people around the great personalities and events of the
game.
The
passport includes admission to the Home of Rugby Football Visitor
Centre, the James Gilbert Museum and Rugby School, and costs £2.25
for adults and £1.50 for concessions. Family tickets are also
available.
They
can be bought from the Home of Rugby Football Visitor Centre in
Lawrence Sheriff Street.
Karen
Stone, Rugby Council’s Head of Economic Development, said:
“We
have been developing the concept of a joint ticket with partners for
the last year.
“It
was felt that the benefits of a joint ticket outweigh the loss of
income to individual attractions.
“Key
benefits include a convenient and attractive value-for-money package
for visitors, increasing visitor numbers to individual attractions
and the encouragement of visitors staying longer in the town.”
