Rugby MP Andy King has given
his backing to people in the town who care for those suffering from
illness and disabilities.
He was at the new Library, Art
Gallery and Museum today to help celebrate National Carers Week.
Rugby Carers Support Group has
set up its stand in library in advance of the week, which starts on
Monday.
It will include information
from various local groups who support cares, including the
Alzheimer’s Society, Parkinson’s Society, Stroke Association,
Rugby Crossroads for Carers.
The local MP said:
“I am delighted to be
involved once again in celebrating National Carers Week by
supporting Rugby Carers Support in highlighting the invaluable and
essential support given by carers in and around Rugby.
“During
the Information Day there will be information on a wide range of
support organisations as well as access to confidential advice and
interpreters in Gujerati, Punjabi, Urdu and Chinese will be there
too.”
